Every lesson in four steps
The same four steps in every lesson, so you always know what comes next. Your progress is saved after each one.
Learn
Short cards explain the rule or the situation, with examples you can listen to and quick checks along the way.
Practice
Drills that use what you have just learnt: fill the gap, put the words in order, choose, type and listen.
Translate
Write Swedish sentences yourself. An AI teacher checks each answer and explains what to change.
Speak
Say your answers out loud. The AI teacher listens and gives you feedback on what you said.

One theme a week
The course is organised in weeks. Each week has an everyday theme, such as your day, food and shopping, health or work, and mixes grammar lessons with lessons about real situations in Sweden.
Every week ends with an AI conversation where you use what you have learnt in a role-play, so the grammar turns into something you can say.
Every level up to B2 ends with a review and a level test.
The levels
The course follows the CEFR levels used across Europe. Open a level to see every week and lesson in it.

Questions and answers
Can I learn Swedish with Skrol as a complete beginner?
Yes. Skrol's guided course is Swedish for beginners, starting from the very first word. It begins at beginner level (A1) with greetings and everyday phrases and moves forward in short lessons, grouped week by week. Your progress is saved after every step. If you already know some Swedish, a short placement test lets you start at a higher level.
Can I learn at my own pace?
Yes. The weeks are a guide, not a timetable: lessons are short, your progress is saved after every step, and you can stop and pick up where you left off.
What does the AI teacher do?
In the Translate and Speak steps you write and say Swedish sentences yourself. The AI teacher checks each answer, tells you what is right and what to change, and explains why, like a patient tutor.
Which language are the lessons explained in?
The explanations are written in English, and in Arabic for learners who use the app in Arabic. The app itself works in English, Swedish or Arabic.
Is Skrol good for SFI students?
Yes. Skrol is built for students of SFI (Svenska för invandrare) and gives you extra Swedish practice alongside your classes, although it is not an official SFI course. The lessons follow real situations in Sweden, like booking a doctor via 1177, paying with Swish or preparing for a job interview. Between classes you can watch videos with translated subtitles, review your saved words and practise conversations with the AI.
