What A2 gets you to

Handle routine situations: shopping, appointments, talking about your day.

A2 builds on A1 with the past tense, the perfect and your first subordinate clauses, and takes them to the places a newcomer needs Swedish most: renting a flat and reporting a fault, describing symptoms and booking a time via 1177, your personal number and BankID, Swish and bills, calling in sick, and writing a short CV.

A2 ends with a review and a level test, so you know when you are ready for the next level.

Questions and answers

Is A2 the right level for me?

Take the free level test: it needs no account and tells you where to start. After you sign up, a short placement test can also move you up if you already know some Swedish.

How long does A2 take?

A2 has 12 weeks of lessons, one theme a week. That is a guide, not a timetable: you learn at your own pace, and your progress is saved after every step.

Which SFI course is A2?

Roughly corresponds to SFI kurs C. Skrol is not an official SFI course, so take this as a rough guide; your SFI school decides your course and grade.

What does the AI teacher do?

In the Translate and Speak steps you write and say Swedish sentences yourself. The AI teacher checks each answer, tells you what is right and what to change, and explains why, like a patient tutor.
