Terms of Service

1. About Skrol

Skrol is a Swedish-language learning service operated by Skrol , a company registered in Sweden. By creating an account you enter into a legally binding agreement with Skrol governed by these Terms of Service (Användarvillkor) and applicable Swedish law.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Skrol. If you are under 18, you confirm that a parent or legal guardian has reviewed and accepted these Terms on your behalf. Users resident in Sweden who are consumers are entitled to all protections under the Swedish Consumer Services Act (konsumenttjänstlagen, SFS 1985:716) and the Distance and Off-Premises Contracts Act (distansavtalslagen, SFS 2005:59).

3. Account & Security

You are responsible for keeping your password confidential. Notify us immediately at support@skrol.se if you suspect unauthorised access. We may suspend or delete accounts that violate these Terms without prior notice.

4. Free & Paid Plans

Skrol offers a free tier and one or more paid subscription plans. Prices are shown in Swedish kronor (SEK) inclusive of 25% VAT (moms) as required by Swedish law (momslagen, SFS 1994:200). Payments are processed by Stripe Payments Europe Ltd.

Right of withdrawal (ångerrätt). Under Swedish distance-sales law you have 14 days from the date of purchase to withdraw from a subscription without giving any reason, provided you have not already used the paid content. To exercise this right email support@skrol.se with your account email and order reference. We will refund via the original payment method within 14 days of receiving your withdrawal notice.

Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date. You can cancel at any time from your profile page.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Copy, redistribute, or resell Skrol content without written permission.
• Reverse-engineer or attempt to extract our audio, video, or lesson data.
• Use the service in a way that violates Swedish law or EU regulations.
• Upload or transmit harmful, defamatory, or illegal content.

6. Intellectual Property

All course content, audio recordings, transcripts, and software are the property of Skrol or its licensors. Your subscription grants a personal, non-transferable licence to access the content for private, non-commercial learning purposes only.

7. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

Skrol is provided "as is". We do not guarantee uninterrupted access. To the maximum extent permitted by Swedish law, our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms is limited to the subscription fees you paid in the preceding 12 months.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud, personal injury caused by our negligence, or any liability that cannot be excluded under Swedish mandatory law.

8. Dispute Resolution

We aim to resolve all complaints quickly — contact support@skrol.se first. If we cannot reach an agreement, you may refer the dispute to the Swedish National Board for Consumer Disputes (Allmänna reklamationsnämnden, ARN) at www.arn.se. You may also use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

These Terms are governed by Swedish law. Any dispute that cannot be resolved through ARN shall be settled by Stockholms tingsrätt as the court of first instance.

9. Changes to These Terms

We will notify you of material changes by email or in-app notice at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use after that date constitutes acceptance.
