From a phrase guide to speaking
A guide is the first step of a lesson: the words and phrases, explained. In the course, the lesson goes on with practice drills, then you write and say the phrases yourself while an AI teacher checks your answers.
Each week of the course ends with an AI conversation, so you also get to use the phrases in a role-play, at the doctor's, on the phone or at the bank, before you need them for real.

Questions and answers
Do I need an account to read the guides?
No. The guides are open to everyone. In the Skrol course, which starts with a free trial, each lesson goes on with practice, the AI teacher and a conversation at the end of the week.
Where do the guides come from?
Each guide is the Learn step of a lesson in the Skrol course, shown exactly as learners see it: the same words, example sentences, tips and quick checks.
Are the guides official information from the authorities?
No. They teach the Swedish you need in these situations. For the rules themselves, such as how to apply for something, always check the authority's own website, for example 1177.se, skatteverket.se or forsakringskassan.se.
Is Skrol good for SFI students?
Yes. Skrol is built for students of SFI (Svenska för invandrare) and gives you extra Swedish practice alongside your classes, although it is not an official SFI course. The lessons follow real situations in Sweden, like booking a doctor via 1177, paying with Swish or preparing for a job interview. Between classes you can watch videos with translated subtitles, review your saved words and practise conversations with the AI.
